I've made many attempts at building a performance in mainstage but once I get to about 8 instances of Omnisphere, my CPU is in the red and Mainstage crashes. Ive tried using the inbuilt live feature of Omisphere which allows you to control multiple sounds within just one instance of Omni but thats even worse! I've done all I can to reduce the load by loading lite versions of patches and removing effects but no matter what I can't get past 3 songs worth of sounds. The set is 9 songs long so I will need a lot more.
The only thing I can think of is having each song in its own project and opening/closing each between songs but this is risky and takes around 10 seconds which isn't ideal for onstage situations.
Are there any tricks I can do to reduce the load or is my comp just not powerful enough? Will deactivating plugins when theyre not in use stop them draining my RAM?
Got a gig in less than a week and Im stressing out. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
